It was indeed a trip down memory lane! It was cool to revisit some of those concepts or appliances that went the way of the dodo. In a random note, the sock puppet from Pets.com is now used in commercials by an auto loan company 1 800-BAR-NONE. :)
Who can forget DigiScents, which got laudatory reviews in 1999 for developing an “iSmell” hardware device to add fragrances to websites?

Another funny one; Happy Anniversary to the first Hard drive ever. The 50 yo 1956 IBM RAMAC 305, $50,000, 1 Ton, 50 24″ discs @ 1200/3600 RPM, 8KB/s and a stunning 5 MB total capacity. Yes! 5 Megabytes for $50,000. Obviously, less than 1000 units sold in 5 years. Pics and more details in French here. Enjoy our luck to be born in the seventies.
